The appearance of non-locality in quantum effects has raised the problem of how two contradictory phenomena, locality and non-locality, can co-exist. The solution may be that we have been conditioned to a too narrow a view of dimensions [1]. We should perhaps consider turning to concepts of eternity as extending our range of dimensions. One of the concepts, aspatial, atemporal eternity (ultimate eternity), is characterized by absence of locality (dimensions providing location in space and time). As such it is a potential arena for non-local effects
Non-locality is demonstrated by the instantaneous interaction between elementary particles separated in space and time [2, 3]. That is, in some interactions the separation of particles at different locations in space and time has no effect. This non-locality is a description of ultimate eternity.
Indications of ultimate eternity also appear in wave-particle duality of fundamental particles like electrons and photons. Mathematically, their probable behavior is accurately described by a wave equation that spreads instantaneously throughout space and time. The instantaneous spread has been confirmed in an experiment by Maria Fuwa and colleagues between Australia and Japan [4]. This instantaneity implies a spacelessness, timelessness and lack of sequences that corresponds to atemporal, aspatial features of ultimate eternity.
Dimensions of eternity can be reached by reducing four-dimensional concepts of spacetime. If you retain the time dimension but take away one space dimension, you get the two-dimensional forms of space, used in mapping and concepts of membranes and event horizons. Take away two space dimensions and you reach the one-dimensional space used in communication theory. Removing the time dimension yields atemporal eternities, regions where there is no progression in time, where every time is the same time. Such atemporal eternities can exist with various dimensions of space. At the event horizon of a black hole, space is two dimensional and time stops, yielding an atemporal two-dimensional spacetime. Complete removal of space dimensions yields a zero-dimensional eternity where both space and time have no meaning, or every place is the same place and every time is the same time. This is a region without boundaries and is the ultimate eternity.
